Bread  Ras  Malai




Ingredients


8 white slices
4 cups reduced sweetened milk
1 cup crumbled chenna
3-4 tbsp powdered sugar
1 pinch saffron + to garnishing
3 tsp blanched n chopped pistachios
Oil for shallow frying
Method
1.Heat reduced milk in a deep non -stick pan till it becomes to a boil.
   Keep stiring once a while.
2.Take chenna on a plate and rub well with your palms till it becomes
smooth. Add powdered sugar , mix and rub again.
3. Add saffron to the milk, stir to mix and heat further.
4.Add 1tsp pistachios
to chenna mixture and mix well.
5.Discard edges of the bread and dampen them. Squeeze out the excess the water.
6.Place a bread slice on a worktop.Put a spoonful of chenna mixture in the centre,
cover with another slices and press the edges to seal using some water.
Similarly prepare the remaining.
7.Heat oil in a non stick pan.Place prepared bread sandwiches on it and shallow
 fry till light golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
8.Place the milk back on heat and put the fried bread sandwiches in it. Soak
them well and bring to boil.
Refrigerate till chilled .
9. Serve chilled garnished with saffron threads.
