Mutton Kheema Patties
Ingredients:
For the Kheema Stuffing :
½ kg Mutton Kheema (MInced Mutton)
1-2 Chopped Onions
4 tsps paste of Ginger Garlic and Green chilli
1 tsp Turmeric powder
3 tsps Red chilli powder
A pinch of Asafoetida
1 tsps Garam masala powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsps Oil for sautéing
¼ litre Oil for deep frying
For the Potato Covering :
6-7 boiled Potatoes
1-2 Eggs
6 tbsps Bread crumbs
½ tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Chopped Coriander leaves
Method :
Wash the mutton Kheema and keep aside.
Apply the ginger garlic and green chilli paste to it along with powder masalas like turmeric pwd, chilli pwd, salt etc.
Heat 2 tbsps oil and add a pinch of asafetida to it along with chopped onions and sauté it until it turns soft and transparent.
Add the marinated kheema and sauté well until it leaves water and cooks in its own juices.
Cover and cook on a slow flame while stirring in between.
Once
the kheema is completely cooked and dry add the garam masala pwd to it
and some chopped coriander leaves. Cool and keep aside for stuffing.
For the Potato Covers :
Mash the boiled potato well and add salt , turmeric pwd and half of the bread crumbs to it.
Make a ball and pat it flat on your palm to make a hollow to stuff the kheema inside.
Cover from all sides and dip in beaten egg and roll again in bread crumbs and deep fry.
Serve hot with tomato sauce and mint coriander chutney
