Sevaiyaan Fruit Custard
Ingredients
Sevaiyaan 1 packet
Apple, cored and chopped 1
Bananas, peeled and chopped 3
Vanilla Custard powder 2 1/2 tablespoons
Ghee 2 teaspoons
Green cardamom powder 1 pinch
Sugar 2 tablespoons
Milk 3-4 cups
Cashewnuts, sliced 1 tablespoon
Almonds, sliced 1 tablespoon
Raisins 1 tablespoon
Pistachios, sliced 1 tablespoon
Tutti frutti for garnish
Method
Heat ghee in a non- stick pan. Add almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts, raisins and sauté. Break sevaiyaan, add to the pan and sauté till light brown.
Transfer into a baking tray and spread. Whisk together milk and custard powder in a non-stick pan.
Add sugar and whisk.
Cook on low heat, stirring continuously till custard thickens.
Remove from heat, add cardamom powder, apples and whisk. Add bananas and whisk. Spread the custard on the sevaiyaan.
Garnish with tutti frutti and serve hot or cold.
