Pudina Matar Pulao
Ingredients:
4 cups - basmati rice
4 cups - water
1 1/2 cup - green peas
2 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp - lemon juice
2 - onions
1 bunch - mint leaves
1 bunch - coriander
2 tbsp -oil
2 tsp - ghee (optional)
8 to 10 - cloves
4 to 5 - cardamom
2 inch piece - cinnamon
2 tsp - shahjeera
green chillies - as per the taste
salt as per the taste
2 - bay leaves
Method
1. Make a puree of mint leaves, chilli , lemon juice and some water.
2. Heat oil in pressure Cooker
3. Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, shahjeera to oil
4. Fry for one minute.
5. Add chopped onions and fry for one more minute
6. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes
7. Add mint puree and fry until oil comes out from
sides.
8. Add washed rice, water, salt and ghee
9. Put the cooker lid and cook to two whistles
10. Allow cooker to cool
11. Garnish with Coriander.
