Mixed Fruit Mini Tarts


Ingredients


 
For the Tart Cases
1. Plain Flour [Maida] 200 gms
2. Chilled Butter 100 gms
3 Salt A Pinch
4. Ice Cold Water

For The Custard Sauce

1. Milk 1 ½ Cups
2. Castor Sugar 6 tsp
3. Custard Powder 5 tsp

For The Mixed Fruit

1. Sugar 2 tsp
2. Corn Flour [Leveled] 1 tsp
3 Strawberry 6-8 nos
4. Black grapes 6-8 nos
5. Green grapes 6-8 nos
6. Sliced kiwi 1 nos

Method

For the tart cases

Sieve the flour with the salt in a deep bowl.
Rub in the chilled butter and make a dough by adding ice-cold water.
Use cling film to cover the dough bowl and refrigerate it for a while.
Roll out the dough to about 3mm thickness.
Cut with fluted cutter of desired size.
Press into tart cases and prick with a toothpick.
Bake in a hot oven at 180 degree C for 7 to 10 minutes.
Cool the tart cases.

For the custard sauce

Mix the custard powder in a little milk.
Add the castor sugar and remaining milk and put to boil.
When the milk starts boiling, add the custard powder mixture and boil until thick while stirring continuously.

Method

Take 6-8 each grapes, 6-8 strawberries and sliced kiwis. Chop the fruit.
Fill the tarts with some custard sauce and then garnish it with mixed fruits.
Serve it.
